Bury based Accountants, Horsfield & Smith are celebrating their fundraising achievements for Age UK Bury.
Several staff from Horsfield & Smith dusted off their running shoes to take part in the recent Bury 10k to raise much needed funds for the Charity.
Age UK Bury is a local charity and its governing body, the Executive Committee, are local people with a passion for improving services for older people in Bury. Every penny they raise stays in the community supporting older people. The Charity provides vital services such as footcare, walking groups, yoga, handy person service, coffee mornings, dementia support group, nutrition and hydration resources; and more.
Jane Hawarden, Marketing Manager at Horsfield & Smith, commented: “We are delighted to support such a worthy cause in the community and raise vital funds for the older, more vulnerable people who live in Bury”.
According to Age UK, almost a million older people in the UK feel lonely, over four million live alone and one million had no one to spend Christmas with last year.

The company has been a great help to our Charity over many years and they really came to our rescue during the pandemic, supporting us with the very complicated furlough scheme, so we could pay our staff properly. The company has a great team and we are lucky to have their backing”.
